This H2EX billet-enginecase has been develloped with the aid of 3D Solids CAD technology and is a vast improvement over the stock item in many ways. Besides having a strong six-speed gearbox,
wallthickness of the enginecase has been increased in critical areas. It thus offers better support to crankshaft and cylinderbase. Furthermore, it allows for rubbermounting which improves rider comfort
on long trips decisively.

For manufacturing, digital 3D files created are used to generate NC-programs for 3 and 5-axis millingmachines. These machines start out from a solid piece of aluminum (billet) and remove over 90% of the
material till just an enginecase or clutchcover is ‘left over’. The use of 5-axis millingmachines makes certain perfect allignment of bores is achieved: sealingsurfaces and bearingseats are machined in
one go without taking the part out of the vise. This perfect alignment of bores assures lowest level of vibration of the engine, reduces internal friction and thus increases output while lifeexpectancy
of critical engineparts is extended.
